Winter Reminders  (No Street Parking, etc.) Winter Reminders (No Street Parking, etc.): There are a few changes to be mindful of beginning November 1st. Effective November 1st there is no overnight parking on the village streets between 1 am to 7 am.  It remains in effective until April 15th 2022.  This allows the snowplows to clear the street when needed. When it snows:  remember to keep your sidewalks clear; it is ultimately the responsibility of the property owner to keep their sidewalks free of snow and ice.  As a courtesy, when able the village will go through with a sidewalk plow. please also help keep the fire hydrants clear of both snow or brush growing around them.  This is a great help to the fire dept if an emergency should arise! Weekly Trash pickup will not be affected by any holidays in December.  ...
Do Good Dog Park Will Close Dec 1st Do Good Dog Park Will Close Dec 1st: The new dog park up at Duguid Park* (accommodating both small and large dogs) has been a welcome addition.  The village is pleased to hear it has been well received and well used!  So much so that the grass wore away in some areas and now stone has been added to reduce those muddy areas. Park benches also will soon be installed as well. PLEASE NOTE:   the dog park will be closed for the winter season as of December 1st.  (The gates will be locked so as not to become damaged by use when the snow piles up against them.)   [*Duguid Park is a village-owned park off Duguid Road just outside the village limits.]
NEW  Proposal for 547 East Genesee Property NEW Proposal for 547 East Genesee Property: UPDATE:  As per a letter dated 11-18-2021 all applications by Millstone Development for 547 East Genesee Street were withdrawn. Subsequently, a new site plan application and special use permit application has been submitted by Northwood Real Estate Ventures LLC.  This new submission will be on the planning board agenda for Monday, December 6th. There was a proposal before the Planning Board for a mixed use commercial redevelopment of the former O'Brien & Gere site at 547 East Genesee Street.   Upon review of both EAF Part 1 and 2, the Planning board issued a Positive Declaration for this proposed action as of February 1, 2021.   A draft scoping document submitted by the applicant  was reviewed by the Planning Board ...
Feeder St & Pedestrian Bridges to be CLOSED Feeder St & Pedestrian Bridges to be CLOSED: PROJECT HAD TO BE POSTPONED.  WE WILL KEEP YOU POSTED WHEN IT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED. PLEASE NOTE: For your safety, beginning Monday, November 29th, Feeder Street and the pedestrian bridges will be closed to all traffic due to scheduled asbestos removal, etc. at the vacant buildings located on Feeder Street. This is the area behind the Town Hall building that connects Canal Landing Park to the Erie Canal trail.  The area will be closed to traffic through at least Wednesday, December 1st.

Public Hearing  on Cannabis Law Public Hearing on Cannabis Law: Please take notice that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Fayetteville will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, June 14, 2021 on or about 6:00pm, to hear public comment on a proposed Local Law pursuant to Cannabis Law §131 opting out of licensing and establishing retail cannabis dispensaries and on-site cannabis consumption establishments within the Village of Fayetteville. The hearing will be held in the Municipal Building, 425 E. Genesee Street in the 1st floor Board Room. At the above time and place all interested parties will be heard.
