Village Tax Due Date July 1st:
The last day that village taxes can be paid without penalties is Friday, July 1st.
Tax payment must be received by 4pm at the village office or postmarked no later than July 1st.
Payments cannot be left in the dropbox after 4pm 7/1 as they will be considered late and incur a penalty.

Public Hearings on Fitch Street and Stretch Code - June 27:
At the next Board of Trustees meeting on June 27, 2022, please note that there will be two public hearings held regarding the following:
Legal Notice - Local Law : to hear public comment on a proposed Local Law to amend Chapter 72 entitled Energy Inspection Standards and Chapter 78 entitled Fire Prevention and Building Construction Administration to the Village of Fayetteville Code.
Legal Notice - Fitch Street : to hear public comments regarding the discontinuance and abandonment of Fitch Street.
PART 2 -Road Resurface Work expected JULY 7/8th:
Suit Kote will be back in on JULY 7 or 8th to continue with Cape Seal on some village streets, weather permitting.
This is the second part of the process where a microfiber seal is put down.
The first course was completed beginning in June [where they sprayed the oil tack coat down and then covered it with stone.]
Next they put the Microfiber seal over the stone.
The streets getting cape sealed are: Washington, Warren, Clinton, E. Franklin, Wellwood and Concord Place.
There will a couple hours where cars should not drive on these streets until it can set a little.

Proposal for 547 East Genesee Property:
A new site plan application and special use permit application has been submitted by Northwood Real Estate Ventures LLC. This new submission review began at the planning board meeting held Monday, December 6th, 2021.
The Planning Board submitted an appeal to the Zoning Board of Appeals for a code interpretation on Chapter 187-14 Non-conforming Structures.
The Zoning Board of Appeals meeting was held via Zoom on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 7:30pm to review this appeal. The Zoning Board of Appeals accepted the interpretation of the codes officer.
The site plan review continues with the Planning Board who meet on the first Monday each month. [In July, the Planning Board will meet on Monday, July 11th (due to the Independence Day holiday).]
Be a Part of Energy Cost-Saving Program:
The Village is participating in an energy cost-saving program offered by National Grid and Omni Renewables. Our electricity accounts are subscribed with Omni Renewables’ Community Solar farms and will see a discount applied every month to the bills. Information about this program can be found at Omni’s website, www.on-renewables.com .
If we can get just 10 homeowners, renters, or businesses to sign-up within the 13066 zip code, the Village will earn a $5,000 grant from New York State (NYSERDA).
Village will continue to use Blue Bins:
The Village is still using the blue bins to collect recycling for our village residents. Only those who live outside the village limits of Fayetteville and have services contracted through the Town of Manlius would be affected.
Limestone Plaza New Traffic Pattern & Parking:
The Village will be restriping Limestone Plaza to optimize parking spaces and traffic flow. This plan was previously approved by the village board after having reviewed the parking in the Limestone Plaza area. The restriping is finally planned to begin in approximately two weeks.
The map below illustrates the change. The street known as Limestone Plaza will become a one-way street going west from Brooklea Drive intersection to Genesee Street. Then the area across the street from Canal Landing Park will be restriped to create additional parking spaces along the south side of Limestone Plaza. Mill Street and Brooklea Drive will remain unchanged.

Cannabis Law Referendum Vote - March 15th:
The referendum vote for residents of the Village of Fayetteville will take place at the Village Election to be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 6 am to 9 pm, in the board room at the village hall located at 425 East Genesee Street, Fayetteville NY. There will be two propositions on the cannabis law.
The Board of Trustees of the Village of Fayetteville had held a Public Hearing on a proposed Local Law pursuant to Cannabis Law §131 opting out of licensing and establishing retail cannabis dispensaries and on-site cannabis consumption establishments within the Village of Fayetteville. The public hearing began at the Trustees' June 2021 meeting. The public comment period concluded at the Trustees' meeting on December 20, 2021.
