Special Visitor coming to Fayetteville 9/18At this year's Fayetteville Festival to be held Saturday September 18th, we are pleased to announce that George Cleveland will be making a special appearance. George is the grandson of President Grover Cleveland.
Stephen “Grover” Cleveland, commonly known as "Grover", was the 22nd and 24th President of the US. He was the only American president to serve in two non-successive terms. In the year 1841, Grover's family moved to Fayetteville, New York, residing on Academy Street and later he returned to live in the Limestone Plaza Historic District.
George has a long love for history and is excited to visit Fayetteville for the first time to see where his grandfather grew up. Please be on the lookout for more details to come on George's visit to Fayetteville.
Presidential Historian Larry Cook will host an interview with Mr. Cleveland at the Fayetteville Free Library, 300 Orchard Street, on the 18th at 2 pm. All are welcome to join.
