Culvert Work begins in Carriage HillThe Village is pleased to report that, after revising plans and re-bidding the project for repairs needed to stabilize the bank of the culvert along Old Powder Mill Road in the Carriage Hill development, the project is finally moving forward. Reconstruction is beginning this week
**Please be aware the traffic pattern within the development will be altered during the reconstruction of the culvert.
This project is made possible due to a grant awarded to the village last summer. The CFA Grant was in the amount of $522,000 for reconstruction of Bishop’s Brook culvert project that would include bank stabilization and headwall repairs. But after the village acquired the necessary permits, the bids received were unfortunately $300,000 over the grant amount. So the plan was revised and rescheduled for this year.
