There are 2,000,000 incidents of pesticide poisoning annually.
♦50% involve children younger than 6 years of age
♦90% of these incidents occur in the home
♦13% of all pesticide poisonings occur in homes other than that of the child
♦Close to half of all households with children under the age of 5 store at least 1 pesticide product within reach of a child, i.e., in an unlocked cabinet
